Our client, a certified Managing General Agency, based in Alpharetta, Georgia and named a “Five Star MGA” by Insurance Business America is actively recruiting a Vice President of Transportation. This role oversees a team of five direct reports and is critical to our operations. With a key priority for the new VP will be expanding our carrier network.

They serve independent agents throughout the southeast for over fifty years.

Position Outline:

  • Primary job functions require exercising independent judgment and management of others.
  • Hire, coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities, ensuring achievement of department service standards.
  • Prepare annual budget including premium, income, expenses and salaries; includes monitoring results.
  • Analyze underwriting metrics to identify areas of improvement and development opportunities.
  • Manage new business production to include identifying opportunities and writing new business while developing and maintaining agency relationships.
  • Articulate products and services to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Up to 25% travel to agencies for development and maintenance of profitable business relationships.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of Commercial Transportation insurance underwriting experience required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance and Risk Management or related field preferred.
  • Professional certifications highly desired (e.g. MS/MA, CPCU, ARM).
  • Must have E&S license or be willing to obtain upon start
  • Must have experience working within a MGA.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Ability to adapt quickly to new software applications and Carrier systems.

Employee Benefits Marketing Specialist

Our client, a Top National Insurance Broker is seeking an Employee Benefits Marketing Specialist in the DC/MD/VA area.

Responsible for managing the marketing efforts of new and renewal business within Employee Health & Benefits accounts. Serves as a knowledge resource for marketing associates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages the new business marketing process
  • Working with Producers/Client service teams to develop a marketing strategy
  • Reviewing proposals for completeness and obtaining all necessary information.
  • Sending proposal to Carriers
  • Receiving and reviewing renewal quotes, comparing coverages.
  • Holds intake calls with the client service team to understand the unique needs of the RFP.
  • Prepares case submissions or enters information in the carrier rating systems according to the specifications required by the carrier.
  • Develops RFP timeline and ensures the timelines are met by the carrier. Serves as the liaison between the service team and the insurance carrier.
  • Follows up with carriers to provide them with additional information as needed.
  • Reviews quotes received and thoroughly and correctly enters the proposals on a Cost and Benefits Analysis.
  • Positive working relationships with producers and account management staff
  • Maintains a high level of concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with clients, agency and company personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within employee health and benefits insurance
  • Knowledge of employee health and benefit coverages and markets required
  • Proficiency in completing process of marketing the account from beginning to end
  • Able to independently market accounts within employee health and benefits
  • Life & Health license or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Role Overview
The Senior Digital Asset Counsel will report directly to the CEO and serve as the primary legal partner to senior leadership.   • Knowledge of global digital asset regulatory regimes (e.g., SEC, CFTC, MiCAR, FCA, SFC).
