Personal Lines Manager/Practice Leader

Our client, a well-established independent agency is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Manager / Practice Leader to lead the Personal Lines operation within its Malvern office. This individual will oversee a team of four Personal Lines Account Managers while maintaining and servicing their own book of business consisting of both High-Net-Worth and standard personal lines clients.

This role combines people leadership, carrier management, client relationship management, and operational oversight, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced Personal Lines professional looking to step into a broader leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Directly manage and mentor a team of four Personal Lines Account Managers.
  • Establish service standards and workflows to ensure exceptional client experience.
  • Assist with employee development, coaching, and performance management.
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture.

Carrier Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners.
  • Participate in carrier meetings and strategic planning discussions.
  • Negotiate and advocate for solutions on behalf of clients and the agency.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance carrier partnerships and market access.

Client & Book Management

  • Manage and service a personal book of business consisting of High-Net-Worth and standard Personal Lines accounts.
  • Provide consultative risk management and coverage guidance to clients.
  • Support retention and organic growth initiatives.
  • Handle complex coverage discussions and account escalations.

Operational Oversight

  • Utilize Applied EPIC agency management system for account management and reporting.
  • Assist with process improvements and workflow efficiencies.
  • Partner with agency leadership on strategic initiatives and practice growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of Personal Lines insurance experience.
  • Prior leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
  • Experience handling High-Net-Worth Personal Lines business.
  • Strong carrier relationship management experience.
  • Background working within an independent insurance agency environment.
  • Experience with Applied EPIC preferred.
  • Active Property & Casualty license required.
