Location: York, PA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid Schedule Available (3 days in office)
Compensation: 70-90k Base Salary (Depending on experience) + Annual Bonus

About the Opportunity

A well-established, privately held insurance brokerage in Central Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Client Service Manager to join its Employee Benefits team. This organization has built a strong reputation for client advocacy, employee development, and delivering customized benefits solutions to employers throughout the region.

This role will serve as a key relationship manager for a diverse portfolio of employee benefits clients, partnering closely with producers, carrier partners, and internal service teams to deliver exceptional client experiences and strategic benefits consulting.

Position Summary

The Client Service Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and servicing of employee benefits accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for clients regarding plan administration, renewals, carrier coordination, and ongoing service needs.

The ideal candidate will possess strong employee benefits knowledge, excellent client relationship skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary service contact for a book of middle market employee benefits clients.
  • Manage annual renewal processes, including marketing, carrier negotiations, and implementation activities.
  • Coordinate employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carrier representatives, and vendor partners.
  • Assist clients with plan design discussions, coverage questions, compliance-related matters, and service issues.
  • Prepare renewal analyses, client presentations, and benefit summaries.
  • Collaborate with Business Insurance Consultants/Executives to support retention and growth initiatives.
  • Oversee enrollment activities, implementation projects, and ongoing account maintenance.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to resolve carrier and administrative issues.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Employee Benefits account management or client service experience.
  • Strong understanding of group medical, ancillary, and voluntary benefit programs.
  • Experience with Applied Epic CRM preferred.
  • Knowledge of fully insured and self-funded benefit plans preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Active Life & Health License preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.
