TRG Legal is actively working with a Top National Insurance Broker seeking a highly experienced Compliance Director to oversee their organization’s compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. The Compliance Director will be a trusted advisor responsible for implementing policies, procedures, training and communications within various departments to ensure that the company as a whole operates in a legal and ethical manner. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong understanding of the insurance brokerage industry, compliance laws and regulations and a strategic mindset to implement the necessary changes in order to minimize risk.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement company policies, strategies and standards designed to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
- Monitor business operations and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
- Protect company assets by tracking applicable laws and regulations and anticipating emerging compliance trends.
- Assess the business’s future growth ventures and initiatives to identify possible compliance risks.
- Develop compliance strategies and initiatives that align with company business objectives.
- Collaborate with company senior management across multiple departments to develop company governance guidelines.
- Establish operational compliance strategies by evaluating trends, establishing critical measurements, resolving issues, and implementing change within the company.
- Develop and implement investigation procedures for conducting compliance investigations and addressing potential or actual instances of non-compliance.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience as a Compliance Director or similar role.
- Prior experience in the insurance brokerage industry required
- Familiarity with insurance brokerage industry practices and professional standards.
- Understanding of insurance brokerage and other regulatory frameworks applicable to company.
- Strong organization, project management, and strategic planning skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, AMS, EPIC or related software programs.
