Recruiting to the industry. The firm’s focus is on the distribution sector of the insurance industry, serving agents, brokers, MGA/MGU, program administrators, risk management consultants and TPAs. The work encompasses both the P&C and Employee Benefits sectors. Our staff has over 80 years of combined search experience and additional insurance industry background (one hundred + yrs). Dan Rogan is also a past board member and president of The National Insurance Recruiting Association (NIRA), the largest association of insurance recruiters in the U.S.

Mr. Rogan is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he received his BA degree in Organizational Communications. He has been active in insurance recruiting since 1987 and in & A Search and Solicitation for Insurance Agencies since 1994. Mr. Rogan has written articles on both recruiting and sales which have been published in Underwriter & Report and Business Insurance Magazines, and has been quoted in Best Review. He also was a guest speaker at the Marsh Berry Insurance Agents Conference. He is a member of the PIA (Professional Insurance Association) of Los Angeles and Orange County, California, PLUS (Professional Liability Underwriting Society), and has been a guest speaker at various local insurance seminars. Mr. Rogan is also a past Board Member and past President of National Insurance Recruiting Association (NIRA), a national insurance recruiting association with over 60 member firms. Mr. Rogan works with local, regional and national brokers (insurance retail agencies, wholesale brokers and TPA) throughout the country. His area of expertise is with Production and Agency Management staff.

Cynthia Carr joined the Rogan Group with more than 17 years of Insurance Industry experience including the last few years working for a Top 20 national brokerage. During the course of her career, she spent 10 years as an underwriter of one of the largest “niche” programs in the nation. As Sales Manager of this large MGA, she developed extensive experience in recruiting, mentoring and managing new and seasoned agents and brokers nationwide. Her strong risk management skills allowed her to work closely with state and national associations, side by side with national carriers. She has presented at several state and national conventions, educating the members with risk management policies. Her background in specialty program business has given her extensive knowledge of the captive and excess markets. At The Rogan Group, Ms. Carr will head the Executive Search activities in New England, New York City Metro, and Northern NJ areas.

Paul Neir started his insurance career in 1975 working for a national insurance company as a field sales representative. Soon thereafter, Paul became co-owner of an independent insurance agency in the Midwest until 1982 when Paul and his family moved to Texas and Paul entered the insurance recruiting industry. Paul has successfully worked with numerous insurance carriers, retail and wholesale agencies, managing general agencies, and third party insurance administrators allowing his client companies to hire the very best insurance talent. Honesty, integrity, open communication, and treating others with a high level of respect has allowed Paul to enjoy repeat business with many of his clients for over thirty years. With a primary focus in the Southwestern United States, Paul has developed thousands of business relationships with insurance professionals allowing him to respond quickly to any personal need for his clients.

Ms. Rogan has been with The Rogan Group, Inc. since 1993, having served as the Operations Manager and the Research Manager. Ms. Rogan’s brings an Internet Research expertise to the firm and in 2009 she took on the additional duties of running TRG – our insurance temporary staffing division. TRG draws from a 90,000 insurance resume database and fills positions throughout the industry. Ms. Rogan previously held accounting positions with Mitsubishi Motors and Household Bank. She possesses a BA Degree from New England College.

Neil Huson, Advisor to the Owner

Mr. Huson joined the Rogan Group after retirement from Marsh Inc. where he served as sales manager, healthcare practice leader and client executive. As healthcare practice leader he was responsible for insurance and risk management consulting to major healthcare providers and life science corporations. Mr. Huson served as branch manager and sales manager for Johnson & Higgins prior to their acquisition by Marsh Inc. In these positions he was responsible for profit center results, personal new business production and the leadership of the sales and client executive staff. Prior to management positions he served as casualty executive for major clients. Additional experience includes agency ownership and claims management. Mr. Huson has been in the insurance recruiting field for over eight years. At the Rogan Group Mr. Huson will be an Advisor to the Owner.
