Role Overview

Title: Manager – Risk Management & Financial Strategy

This role sits within our client’s centralized Risk Management function and reports directly to the Vice President of Risk Management.

Position Summary:

The Manager is responsible for financial strategy, insurance program performance, and enterprise risk execution, supporting both corporate initiatives and project-level decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Risk Analysis: Develop and manage Total Cost of Risk (TCOR) models, forecast insurance program financials, analyze loss trends, and deliver insights to senior leadership while overseeing cash flow across risk programs.
  • Project & Deal Support: Partner with Legal and project stakeholders to assess contractual risk, structure insurance programs (OCIP/CCIP), and support budgeting, compliance, and coordination with lenders, owners, and joint venture partners.
  • Captive & Risk Program Management: Oversee captive insurance operations, collaborating with actuaries, captive managers, brokers, and carriers to ensure compliance and optimize risk financing strategies.
  • Risk Infrastructure & Governance: Maintain RMIS data integrity, support internal and external audits, and ensure proper documentation and effective risk controls.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor junior staff while working cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Legal, and project leadership to drive strategic risk management improvements.

Required Experience:

  • 5–8+ years in Commercial Insurance, Construction Risk and/or Real Estate/Infrastructure
  • Strong foundation in Risk Financing, Insurance Structures and Financial Analysis
  • CPCU, ARM, or CRIS preferred
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS Finance, Risk Management)
