Our client, a mid-market MGA in the Gulf Region, is seeking an experienced remote production underwriter to help grow and retain an existing mid-market book of business.

- Founded in 2002
- Headquartered in Louisiana with additional offices in AL, GA, FL, MS, OK and TX
- 20+ employees
- Recently partnered with Top 10 National Wholesale Broker
Position Outline:
- Responsible for the growth and retention of a mid-market book of business.
- Network within small to mid-market retail agencies in the southeast.
- Products include Auto Transportation, Commercial Lines, Energy & Marine, Environmental, Professional, Personal Lines, and Contractor Programs.
- Underwriters will focused on developing and maintaining a profitable book of business by building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- This role requires an eye on high quality submissions, discussions regarding pricing with the agent and guidance to other coverages appropriate for the insured.
- Underwriters is also accountable for achieving premium budget forecasts, profit and loss, and business development in the assigned territory.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in production underwriter role
- Ideal candidate will have an existing book of business between $200-500K
