Commercial Lines Underwriter
Our client, an MGA specializing in a niche market is looking to recruit Commercial Lines Underwriter in Toronto. Candidate should be technically strong with Property lines preferred.
Client Profile:
Started in early 2018 as a Managing General Agent (MGA) focused on offering brokers the most comprehensive coverage available in a niche industry. They have exclusive partnerships with A+ rated domestic carriers and were tribunalized by Lloyd’s of London in 2022. They serve both large and small accounts from farms, manufactures, wholesale distributors, retail, transportation and more.
Job Outline:
- Relationship & education development of broker channel (local, regional & national brokers).
- Technologically strong with CL, Property, Excess Liability, Products Liability, Management Liability, WC, Cargo and Crop
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Insurance Production Underwriting experience (Wholesale Broker/MGU/Carrier levels)
- Product line experience with (some or all) – GL, Property, Excess Liability, Products Liability, management Liability, WC and Crop
- Property coverage experience preferred
- BA/BS Degree (advanced degree and/or additional insurance designations are a plus)
