Our client, a venture-backed Insurtech brokerage focused on modernizing the way businesses purchase and manage commercial insurance, is actively recruiting their next Commercial Insurance Head of Customer Success.
Role Overview
The Head of Customer Success will lead post-sale client experience for commercial insurance customers. This leader will own the entire client lifecycle after the initial sale, including onboarding, policy servicing, renewal strategy, and overall account management.
The role blends traditional insurance brokerage account management with customer success leadership in a high-growth Insurtech environment. The ideal candidate understands how commercial policies are marketed and placed with carriers but is also comfortable building scalable processes and leading teams in a fast-paced startup.
This position plays a critical role in driving client retention, cross-sell opportunities, and long-term customer value.
Qualifications:
- 7–12+ years in commercial insurance brokerage, ideally in Account Management, client service and marketing/placement
- Strong understanding of General liability, Professional liability, Commercial auto, Property, Umbrella / excess programs
- Experience managing commercial renewals and carrier relationships
- Leadership Experience: Experience leading or managing account management or service teams preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop people and scale processes.
- Startup / Growth Mindset
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Experience in Insurtech, digital brokerage, or high-growth startup is a plus
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License required
- Bachelor’s degree required, Degrees in Risk Management, Finance, Business, or Insurance preferred.
- Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, or CIC are a plus.
