About the Opportunity

A leading global provider of forensic consulting, engineering, and specialized claims services is seeking an experienced Chief Sales Officer / Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing to lead the organization’s next phase of growth.

This is a newly elevated executive leadership opportunity with responsibility for sales, marketing, business development, client experience, and strategic growth across a highly specialized professional services platform.

The organization serves a sophisticated client base that includes insurance carriers, third-party administrators, independent adjusting firms, law firms, and other risk and claims professionals. Its multidisciplinary services support complex, high-value claims, litigation, investigations, and risk management matters throughout North America and internationally.

The successful executive will inherit and lead an established 14-person business development organization while partnering directly with the President and executive leadership team to develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy.

The Role

The Chief Sales Officer / EVP, Sales & Marketing will have enterprise-wide responsibility for developing and executing strategies that drive profitable revenue growth, client retention, new business development, and market expansion.

This executive will bring a combination of strategic vision and hands-on commercial leadership, creating accountability across the sales and business development organization while partnering closely with operational and technical leaders.

The ideal candidate will understand how to sell complex, expertise-driven professional services into the insurance and claims ecosystem and will have a demonstrated ability to develop executive-level relationships with sophisticated institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the President and executive leadership team to establish and execute strategic growth objectives.
  • Develop and implement an enterprise-wide sales, business development, marketing, and client retention strategy.
  • Lead, develop, coach, and scale the existing 14-person business development team.
  • Establish measurable sales and growth objectives, KPIs, and accountability mechanisms across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for new clients, new service offerings, strategic partnerships, and geographic expansion.
  • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with insurance carriers, TPAs, independent adjusting firms, law firms, brokers, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Strengthen client retention strategies and ensure timely resolution of client issues in partnership with operational leadership.
  • Oversee business development, sales enablement, client partner, and marketing budgets and ensure effective allocation of resources.
  • Partner with executive leadership on RFPs, RFIs, proposals, contract negotiations, and growth-related financial models.
  • Build a disciplined and measurable sales process that improves pipeline visibility, conversion, forecasting, and accountability.
  • Identify competitive trends, market opportunities, emerging services, and changes within the insurance and claims ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with technical and operational leaders to translate the organization’s expertise into compelling client-facing solutions.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, client meetings, and other strategic events.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations and other materials supporting business development and market positioning.
  • Establish and maintain a strong professional network across the insurance, claims, legal, engineering, and risk management communities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales, marketing, client engagement, and business development processes.
  • Serve as a visible executive representative of the organization and consistently demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and strong business judgment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The organization is seeking a commercially oriented executive who has successfully led growth within a professional services, insurance services, claims, engineering, forensic consulting, or related B2B environment.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales, business development, professional services, insurance services, claims, engineering, consulting, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience managing and developing sales or business development professionals.
  • A demonstrated history of driving organic revenue growth and client retention.
  • Experience leading a sales organization through a period of growth, transformation, or expansion.
  • Strong understanding of selling complex, knowledge-based or technical professional services.
  • Existing relationships and credibility within the insurance, claims, legal, risk management, or related professional services ecosystem.
  • Executive-level business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and workforce planning.
  • Strong strategic planning skills combined with the ability to execute and hold teams accountable.
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to operate effectively with C-suite executives, clients, technical professionals, and sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, sales analytics, and modern sales enablement practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
