Retail Agency Producer/Manager (Player/Coach) - California Location

The Rogan Group, Inc. a Risk Management and Insurance Recruiting firm is assisting a national insurance holding company, that seeks to recruit a Regional Retail Ins Brokerage Leader for California. This position will be responsible for building out the platform for this retail brokerage, and that will include production, producer recruitment, review of acquisitions, carrier relations and staff management as the team grows. We are looking for a “Builder” and Player/Coach” that can attract talent to their team.    

Client Profile:

• Insurance Holding Company with Wholesale Broker, MGA and Retail Agencies units

• HQ - Dallas  (with national footprint)

• Over 150 staff  and 14 portfolio companies (wholesale brokers and retail agencies)

• Niches – Construction, Energy, Manufacturing, Enviro, Habitational/RE and Transportation

• Added value services: Claims, F&I, Appraisal Services, Risk Management/Loss Control   

Position Outline:

1. Title – SVP, Zone Leader (this is a retail agency leader opportunity in CA)

2. Can live in any major metro area of CA 

3. Duties:

   a. Producer recruitment (and acquisition POC)

   b. Carrier relations, and the development of niche programs

   c. Development of CA platform and on-going management of region

   d. Personal production

Qualifications:

   a. Producer/Brokerage Leader background (Player/Coach role)

   b. Ability to recruit and mentor production staff

   c. Carrier relations experience, and niche program development background

   d. Will consider candidates with or without book of business
