Wholesale Broker (Casualty & WC) Openings in CA

Our client, a National MGA/MGU/Wholesale Broker that was founded in 1997 and now has 1,700 associates and 80 offices Country wide is currently looking to hire a Wholesale Broker in California to focus on Workers Compensation. 

When it comes to placing Property & Casualty coverage, our client, a leading nationally focused wholesale insurance broker, knows the best markets and coverage terms to secure for your clients, reflected by the more than $2.9 billion of premium placed annually.

Position Description:

1. Primary focus is to underwrite, manage, and sell products offered by binding and brokerage carriers with emphasis on writing new business.

2. Has Production goals assigned and is measured on new business goal attainment.

3. Underwrites individual insurance applications to cover Workers Compensation with guidelines set for the issuance of policies on a standard or substandard basis.

4. Determines whether to accept, modify or decline a risk through evaluation of information pertinent to the decision.

5. Has frequent contact with field to gather information on which to base and defend underwriting decisions.

6. Develops relationships with contracted brokers (Agent Network).

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree and 5 or more year’s related professional experience required.

2. Wholesale Broker experience.

3. Developed Agent Network (book of business desired but not necessary)

4. Experience in the Workers Compensation sector

5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office.

Compensation: 

1. Salary + Commission

2. New/renewal commission splits then laddered deal as book grows
