Outstanding Employee Benefits Leader position
The largest Northeast Florida privately held comprehensive insurance, risk management and employee benefits firm is seeking a very experienced Employee Benefits Leader.
The firm, $30m revenue, has a 50 year history of growth. It is a Charter Member of the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers' (CIAB) Quality Insurance Congress. The firm has been chosen as one of "Top 25 Companies that Care" and "Top 30 Most Family Friendly Companies" in the Northeast Florida area.
The employee benefits sales leader will be responsible for department growth and client retention along with establishing initiatives to create value added services and new products for clients. The EB Leader will recruit, train, and mentor Sales staff and oversee service staff.
The manager will work with producers on new business and cross selling opportunities, help develop proposals and presentations, work with underwriters on key accounts and must be able to analyze financial information for benchmarking and understanding client financial objectives
There will be 5 staff and 3 producers for which the manager is accountable initially.
This firm is well poised to capture additional market share in the changing healthcare environment.
Key considerations:
Bachelor Degree in Risk Management/Insurance or related field of study is preferred
Florida licensing will be required
Minimum 5 to 7 years of professional/technical and new business development experience
Minimum 5 to 10 years of EB Group Management experience
Self-starter and self-motivated
Resilient and energetic
Strong sense of urgency
Strong natural persuasive mindset and sharp negotiation skills
Up-to-date technology skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
